Im having this problem too. Windows should automatically reinstall it for you. Would it damage or erase any of my files? Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1. Then reboot the laptop again. Probably next step is a clean reinstall of the Windows XP. If you cdrom drive does not work will need to buy a drive.
